Should the menu work offline?

Yes, if the terrace or the basement drops data and the menu still has to be seen. It does not replace changing a sold-out mark: that needs a moment of connection. Try the menu with data off after it has been opened once. The miss is depending on the network so at the rush the menu will not open. After the first open, dishes and prices read with no signal; sold out updates when it returns.
